Following a routine victory in the Cape Derby, Eight On Eighteen suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Sail The Seas in the WSB Guineas. Richie Fourie's mount bounced back straight away, making it three wins from three starts over ten furlongs with a runaway triumph in the Daily News 2000.
