The late springer in the Durban July betting is Winchester Mansion, who's been cut into second-favouritism.

Brett Crawford's five-year-old showed average form earlier in the season. However, Winchester Mansion has been transformed following a recent gelding operation and booked his spot in the field on Saturday by winning the recent Dolphin Cup Trial.

Kabelo Matsunyane has taken a real liking to Greyville this term. Winchester Mansion finished a close second in the WSB 1900 on his first start of the Champions Season, before winning the Cup Trial by an emphatic three lengths.

Winchester Mansion will wear the number four saddle cloth number, having been placed in stall four when the Durban July draw was made. Young jockey Matsunyane keeps his place in the saddle and he'll carry the blue and white silks of owner-breeder Drakenstein Stud.
