The opening leg of South Africa's Triple Crown - which also features the Cape Town Met and the Durban July - takes place at Kenilworth this Saturday. This Grade One has been won by many of South Africa's most famous racehorses and Saturday's renewal promises to be a thriller.

Here's a look through the current L'Ormarins King's Plate betting and a rundown of the most likely runners.

The bookmakers have this year's King's Plate between two runners. Topping the market is beaten Durban July favourite See It Again, who's won both the Pinnacle and the Green Point Stakes this season.

Charles Dickens could only finish third behind See It Again when the two met in the Green Point. Candice Bass-Robinson was convinced her Guineas and Gold Challenge winner would come on plenty for the run and there isn't much separating Charles Dickens and See It Again in the market.

Al Muthana returns to defend his crown, having upset Charles Dickens to win this race 12 months ago. Justin Snaith will be represented by both Hluhluwe and Snow Pilot, who sit closest to the market leaders in the betting.

Luyolo Mxothwa and Brett Crawford team up with Anfields Rocket. Another Justin Snaith runner, Double Superlative will be ridden by Richard Fourie. Other runners include King Regent, Royal Aussie, Speed Machine, Countdown and Montein.
