There are now less than three hours to go before the 2023 Durban July takes place at Greyville Racecourse.

SportingBet still lists See It Again as the clear favourite, but Mike Roberts' star has weakened slightly over the past few hours, drifting out to 4.0 from 3.25.

Three horses have been well supported against the favourite during the morning. Here are the Durban July market movers who've been making waves in the betting.

Safe Passage - 10.0 > 8.0

Last year's third, SAFE PASSAGE has been the pick of the serious punters this morning, causing bookies to cut Mike De Kock's runner back into single-figure prices. Safe Passage went off as the favourite for the 2023 Durban July and many were impressed with his fifth-place finish behind champion miler Charles Dickens last time out in the Gold Challenge.

Billy Bowlegs - 21.0 > 11.00

Having sat amongst the also-rans earlier in the week, BILLY BOWLEGS' price has halved during the course of this morning and Alec Laird's three-year-old could seen be cut into a single-figure price. Billy Bowlegs boasts some solid three-year-old form this season and comes into the race fresh, having been freshened up by Laird over the spring.

Second Base - 67.00 > 34.00

Each-way backers have latched onto SECOND BASE, who'll be having just his second start for young trainer Robyn Klaasen in today's Durban July. Second Base could only finish 12th in the race last season when trained by JJ van Vuuren, but following a solid second on his stable debut for Klaasen in the Champions Challenge, Chase Maujean's mount has been significantly backed with SportingBet this morning.
