2020 Durban July Odds - Three important market movers at Greyville

The eyes of South Africa are now firmly fixed on Greyville, as the card on Durban July day gets underway. The countdown is now well-and-truly on for the big race, and there have been three noteworthy market moves during the build-up. 

The biggest shift in the betting has come from Justin Snaith's BUNKER HUNT, who's been backed in from 12.0 to 8.0 in the last 48 hours.

Snaith's star was last seen blitzing the competition over seven furlongs, and has some questions to answer regarding stamina over this longer trip. That hasn't stopped punters piling on Grant Van Niekerk's mount, though, and Bunker Hunt is currently the best-backed horse in the 2020 Durban July.

Another with lingering doubts over their staying ability is VARDY, but he's currently moving in the opposite direction to Bunker Hunt.

Adam Marcus' charge was as short as 8.0 in the betting earlier in the week. Currently, though, SportingBet is having trouble even giving Vardy away, and Craig Zackey's mount has drifted right out to 11.0.

Of all the roughies in the race, it seems each-way punters have latched onto another of Sean Tarry's runners, TIERRE DEL FUEGO.

On Thursday, Tierra Del Fuega was as far adrift as 41.0 in the Durban July betting. Yet, with just hours to go before the race, Tarry's outsider has halved in price, and can currently be found at a top price of 21.0.
